PHYSIOTHERAPY

The goals of physiotherapy are to reduce pain and improve function, performance, mobility, strength, endurance and quality of life.    Physiotherapists use a hands-on approach to provide rehabilitation and preventative care to individuals of all ages, for conditions such as acute and chronic injuries, pain, pre-and post-operative conditions, weakness, instability and to improve performance.  Through a thorough assessment, physiotherapists determine the cause of dysfunction to create an individual treatment plan which can involve mobilization/manual therapy, muscle and soft tissue release, medical acupuncture, exercise prescription and/or performance and therapeutic taping
